Why buy an M|Dining Gift Card?

The card is redeemable for purchases of food and beverages at all M|Dining cafés, markets and dining halls. Similar to a debit card, you can add value to your gift card in person at any M Dining café or market. Gift cards are sold at all M|Dining cafés and markets.

Loading value onto your card

You can load any dollar value onto a M|Dining Gift Card at any M|Dining café or market with cash or a credit card.

Checking the balance of your M|Dining Gift Card

You can check the balance of your M|Dining Gift Card by emailing michigan-dining@umich.edu and providing the cards 8-digit number or by calling 734-764-3000.

Fees and expiration of card balances

M|Dining does not charge any fees for the issuance, activation or use of your M|Dining Gift Card. Your M|Dining Gift Card has no expiration date. If you have questions, please contact us at michigan-dining@umich.edu or 734-764-3000.

How to buy an M|Dining Gift Card

Cards can be purchased in any M|Dining café or market with cash, credit card, or university shortcode as well as online for delivery to any residential hall’s community center. (Charges apply to residential hall delivery orders.) Dining Dollars and Blue Bucks cannot be used to purchase gift cards.
